Although the practice of Astrology and Numerology was a revered subject of studies and practice in ancient times, it fell out of favor as the physical sciences (like astronomy and physics) became more establish and people could better understand the physical universe in which we live.

But like religion, these new discoveries, did not stop the true occult disciples from practicing their art, although they had to give up some of their preconceived notions that could not withstand scientific scrutiny – like the divine nature of the planets as gods. Or that the physical influences of the planets could determine our fate.  The Moon for instance causes the ebb and flow of the ocean waves, but that is a far cry from determining our character, hopes and fortune. Or, is it?

Excerpts From wikipedia.org

“There are three main branches of astrology today, namely Western astrology, Indian astrology, and Chinese or East Asian astrology. The study of Western astrology and the belief in it, as part of astronomy, is first found in a developed form among the ancient Babylonians; and directly or indirectly through the Babylonians, it spread to other nations. It came to Greece about the middle of the 4th century B.C., reached Rome before the advent of the Christian era.

With the introduction of Greek culture into Egypt, both astronomy and astrology were actively cultivated in the region of the Nile during the Hellenistic and Roman periods. Astrology was further developed by the Arabs from the 7th to the 13th century , and in the Europe of the 14th and 15th centuries astrologers were dominating influences at court. The Mayans of Central America and the Aztecs also developed their own form of astrology. Other cultures and civilizations around the world also developed their own astrological systems independently.

The terms astrology and astronomy have long been closely related. An Astrologer is an interpreter of celestial phenomena, while an Astronomer is a predictor of celestial phenomena. Astrology itself can be divided into two camps: “Natural astrologers” (i.e. astronomers) study the motions of the heavenly bodies, timing of eclipses, etc. “Judicial astrologers” study the supposed correlations between the positions of various celestial objects and the affairs of human beings…” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_astrology

So, what exactly is the cause of astrological influences, if there really is any such thing.

I propose to show that there is truly such an influence.  It is no not physical, nor is it spiritual – in the true sense of the word.

Something I discovered some thirty years ago convinced me that the truth lies right in front of our faces.  We just never made the connection before.

The connection lies in linguistics and the symbolism of numbers.  Hence we can’t understand astrology until we fully understand the power of symbolism as explained through the principles of numerology.
