Too Smart For Your Own Good!

d by a young lady recently distribut
ing religious pamphlets

And she asked, "Who is in charge?"
Being the smarty pants, I am, I quickly replied, "In my little world I am in charge"
But she persisted
. "NO! I mean the Whole Wide World!?
So I said, "I don't have a clue, but whoever is in charge, is doing a very poor job!"
She turned and walked away - a hopeless case, she thought.

WHO'S IN CHARGE?
Well, that may sound facetious of me, but there is a lot of truth in that statement . For the World is only the sum total of human experienc es, and nothing more.
The Creator made the world perfect and gave man dominion over everythin g. He can't (or won't) do anything more about it - it's in our hands, now. Like buying a new car. Once you drive it off the lot, the care and maintenan ce in your hands.
We all have a responsib ility to tend our Gardens of Eden with the resources that are in our control. And when we finally do (individua lly speaking) the deserts of human condition will be restored to their pristine perfectio n.
So how do we take control? Christ said if you had faith as small as a mustard seed, you could move mountains! We all have mountains to climb, but we also have the spiritual resources at hand for every hill we face. We only need to manage our Control Panel (Minds) wisely using the our spiritual resources (thoughts) that everyone has in abundance . For thoughts and ideas are the seeds we plant in our gardens of life.
Of course, if you do not take control, your subconsci ous mind will always create by default - hence the rise of "the Secret".
This default mode is wired at birth and fine tuned by experienc es. Experienc es are created by time, luck and circumsta nces.
Your default mode doesn't really listen to you by talking to it. It has no sense of reason. To communica te with the subconsci ous, you have to lose the sense of reason. This is why hypnotism will work to change habits (experienc es) where the will fails time and time again.
The only other way is to rise above your experienc e level is by creating new experienc es. The Catch 22!
That's the Good News!
"The Secret" It's not really anything new, except being broadcast ed in the public media. This has been told over and over by Spiritual Masters and Mystics down through the ages.
And I have read most of them. As Christ once said; "You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall set you Free!"
So what is the Truth? He explains "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he! Which means your Self-Concept" rules your universe!" And that makes you Godlike!
One's Life is a Paradox locked in a box - the subconsci ous. To know it is like knowing GOD - for therein lies all the Power in the Universe. By accepting a new image of yourself and your world, your world will reflect that image.
Neverthel ess, experienc es tend to create your reality - for that's really all we know. Everythin g else is by Faith. Hence your "Default Mode" reigns, unless we can rise above it.
Overridin g that default mode is the challenge - which is easier said than done for most people. You have to be born again, so to speak. A whole new spiritual perspecti ve on what is Life.
Some people seem to have the gift of grasping this in a sudden flash of inspirati on like St. Paul on his way to Damascus, others tend to know this intellect ually all their lives and still miss the boat, like Judas.
